Welcome to the missing piece in your ballet training. This isn’t your typical floor barre, it’s the foundational method used in top pre-professional ballet schools, designed to give you the placement, precision and power that most dancers never get taught.
We’ll begin with four essential exercises (affectionately called the Fab 4) that lay the groundwork for turnout, plié, retiré and foot positions – just like the beginning of a ballet barre, only from the floor. From there, we’ll build into targeted work to support the more demanding half of class: adage, batterie, grand battement and beyond.
You’ll strengthen the psoas for height in front and side extensions, activate the back for a more lifted arabesque, and learn how to work with your body – not against it – to create longer lines and real classical control.
This is where clean technique meets confident extension. Let’s hit the floor.
